What we do…

In 2021 Maternal Mental Health KC opened it’s doors with a focus on treating Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, perinatal grief & loss, infant loss, pregnancy after miscarriage, traumatic birthing experiences, relationship challenges and easing the difficult transitions to parenthood and beyond. MMHKC is an LGBTQ+ affirming safe space for families of all make ups.

The work done is filtered and communicated through an attachment, AIP lens and treatment is primarily done with a beautiful integration between EMDR and DBT. There is emphasis on the need for stretching our world views toward healing, learning practical coping skills and expanding our concept of self in relation to others in both the mind and body. While we are constantly working to increase our expertise in this field through extensive training and experience, we take pride in our ability to support parents through their most challenging and difficulty transitions.
